How Do Proper Planning and Recreation Create a Healthy Ecosystem?
In today's urban environment, the courtyard and landscaping are no longer just decoration. What matters most now is how well a project's internal layout and infrastructure meet people's physical and emotional needs. Archtour Lisi was designed on exactly this principle - here, every detail serves the creation and preservation of a healthy ecosystem.
Safety and Thoughtful Functional Zoning
In planning Archtour Lisi, one of the top priorities was residents' safety and the proper distribution of space. The site is built around the "car-free courtyard" concept - the road infrastructure and underground parking are organized so that the inner space is fully isolated from exhaust fumes and moving vehicles. The vast inner courtyard is dedicated entirely to pedestrians. Additionally, thanks to functional zoning, active sports areas, children's play and entertainment areas, and quiet relaxation spaces are all ideally separated from one another.
Project Layout and Scale
A healthy environment is also shaped by the layout and scale of the buildings:
- Natural ventilation and lighting: Taking into account the western and southeastern winds characteristic of the Lisi area, the spaces between the buildings were transformed into natural corridors. This keeps the courtyards cool and ensures a constant circulation of fresh air, while the optimal spacing between blocks provides ideal natural light for the apartments.
- Low-rise architecture: The 5-story buildings don't overwhelm the space and are scaled to human perception. This scale preserves a direct visual connection with the inner courtyards, while panoramic views open up from the apartments, heightening the sense of closeness to the green surroundings.
Recreation — Flora Suited to Lisi's Microclimate
A 14,400 sq.m. recreational zone brings the planned space to life. For Archtour Lisi's ecological center, 575 trees of various species were specially selected with the local microclimate in mind:
- Evergreen oak and Italian stone pine: They stay green year-round and release phytoncides, naturally purifying the air of bacteria.
- Himalayan cedar and fir: They stand out for their hardiness, and their dense branches form an effective natural noise barrier.
- Japanese maple: Adds seasonal dynamics and visual variety to the courtyard.
Archtour Lisi's safe space, proper planning, and recreation perfectly complement one another. It's precisely for these reasons that an environment is created here where people are filled with fresh energy every day.
